Biomedical Innovation

Advancing Translational Science Through Innovative Therapeutics

By integrating advanced microsurgery, translational research, and state-of-the-art molecular technologies, we seek to translate discoveries in metabolic disease, autoimmune disease, chronic kidney disease, and organ transplantation into innovative biomarkers and first-in-class therapeutics.

01

Translational Organ Preservation

Ischemic injury remains a major barrier to successful transplantation, particularly for marginal donor organs. SWL Therapeutics develops innovative organ preservation technologies and therapeutics that preserve donor organ viability, reduce ischemia- reperfusion injury, and improve graft function. By combining bioelectric modulation, peptide therapeutics, machine perfusion technologies, and precision bioengineering, we are advancing next-generation preservation strategies that expand donor organ utilization and improve transplant outcomes.

02

Metabolic Disease and Organ Crosstalk

ADysregulated organ-organ communication is a major driver of metabolic disease progression and chronic organ injury. SWL Therapeutics develops first-in-class therapeutics that target the molecular pathways linking metabolic dysfunction- associated steatohepatitis (MASH), chronic kidney disease (CKD), and interorgan crosstalk. Our precision therapeutic approach is designed to interrupt disease progression and improve long-term patient outcomes.

03

Tissue-Targeting Therapeutics

Precise drug delivery is essential for maximizing therapeutic efficacy while minimizing systemic toxicity. SWL Therapeutics develops next-generation tissue-targeting platforms using adeno-associated virus (AAV) vectors, nanoparticles, peptide-based delivery systems, and other precision delivery technologies to selectively deliver therapeutics to diseased tissues. These platforms enable safer, more effective treatments for chronic diseases, organ transplantation, and regenerative medicine.
